PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Two groups that have been on opposite sides of issues like gentrification joined forces Tuesday to oppose the policies of President Donald Trump.
The tech workers and self-described anti-capitalists gathered at King Plaza in Palo Alto to stage the rally Tuesday afternoon.
Organizers say the demonstration was meant to promote what they say are the values that drive Silicon Valley such as diversity, inclusion and civil liberties.
They also hope to build a lasting connection between the two groups through hackathons, fundraising, mentoring programs, and donating skills and time.
