Victim shot, killed Monday morning in Richmond

RICHMOND, Calif. -- A victim was shot and killed in Richmond Monday morning, a city official said.

The shooting was reported at 10:52 a.m. near the Bayview Mart grocery store at 1025 S. 47th St., according to city photographer Christian Wimmer.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Wimmer said. Police officials did not immediately respond to requests for further details.
