SAN MATEO, Calif. -- A worker died in a fall at a residential construction site in San Mateo Tuesday afternoon, a state Division of Occupational Safety and Health spokesman said.
Shortly before 4 p.m., the man fell 15 feet at a construction site in the 2600 block of South Delaware Street, Cal/OSHA spokesman Greg Siggins said.
He died at the scene.
The construction site is run by TRI Pointe Homes and Cal/OSHA is opening an investigation into the incident, Siggins said.
"If the employer is found to have violated any workplace safety procedures they will be cited," he said.
