SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KGO) -- Barry Zito is back in green and gold. The ex-A and ex-Giant is making a comeback with Oakland after a year off. It has been a year that kept him busy after wife, Amber, gave birth to a baby boy.

Zito talked baseball and fatherhood with ABC7 Sports. He said he's finding more of a balance between work and home life. He said his teammates have been supportive.

We asked him if was odd for him to come back into the A's clubhouse where he doesn't know a lot of guys. He replied, "No. It's a good situation because I just keep my head down and work hard and continue to focus on what I have to do. Sometimes knowing everybody and being popular can be a distraction."

He plans to come back and be a starter.
