Contra Costa County shelters waiving pet adoption fees

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- If your family is looking for a new addition, Contra Costa County is waiving pet adoption fees because of overcrowded shelters.

Adoption fees are waived until Friday, September 14, 2018.

You can find a new friend at animal shelters in Martinez and Pinole.

You may still have to pay to microchip and vaccinate your new pet.
