NEW DELHI, India -- The world's longest venomous snake, the king cobra, usually tries to avoid confrontation with humans and vice versa.
A deadly drought in southern India left one snake a little less vicious than usual. The serpent, whose venom could kill a human, became rather friendly with one in order to get a drink.

According to the description of a video uploaded to YouTube, the cobra wandered to Kaiga village in Karnataka presumably in search of water.
A wildlife rescue worker approached the deadly snake and offered it a bottle of water - getting much closer than the typical person would dare.
Then, the snake did the unthinkable as it drank politely from the water bottle while being held by a rescue worker.
