PG&E notifying more than 12,000 Northern California customers about possible power shutoffs
PG&E is warning residents of the Sierra foothills and North Bay about potential power shutoffs because of warm and windy conditions this weekend.

PG&E is warning residents of the Sierra foothills and North Bay about potential power shutoffs because of warm and windy conditions this weekend.

In a new alert, the utility says Saturday it may turn off power to 12,026 customers in Butte, Plumas and Yuba counties.

PG&E says it's also monitoring weather conditions in El Dorado, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Tehama and Yolo counties.

It's encouraging any residents to sign up for alerts on the PG&E website.
