Sandy Roberto fostered the rescue animal for almost a year because no one wanted to adopt Carmella.

But, then came along Tianna. She is legally blind and has had eight operations. Her twin sister, Gianna, is autistic.

Their mom Dana Polito-Corry says, "Especially this year, now the children are noticing that other children are different from them. For her to constantly feel lonely, it breaks my heart as a parent and then to find this dog that didn't have an easy life."

Tianna says Carmella is still fun to play with even though her legs don't work.
