Laurie Smith defeats John Hirokawa in race to become Santa Clara County sheriff

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Laurie Smith has been re-elected as Santa Clara County's sheriff.

Smith faced John Hirokawa, who was once her second in command.
