Poll: President Trump has 25 percent approval rating in California

A new poll shows President Trump's approval rating has hit a new low in California.

The Public Policy Institute of California says only 25 percent of Californians think the president is doing a good job. That's down from 30 percent in January.

More than 1,700 California residents participated in the poll two weeks ago. Those who took the survey told our media partner the Bay Area News Group they're not surprised Mr. Trump is disliked in the golden state.

The latest national poll from Gallup found 37 percent of Americans approve Trump's performance.
