Winning Powerball ticket holder yet to come forward in San Leandro

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KGO) -- The holders of three winning Powerball tickets are now rolling in the dough, splitting a jackpot of more than $564 million.

Here in the Bay Area, one ticket sold at an East Bay store is worth $1.4 million. The winner has yet to come forward.

It's official. Millionaires are made at Pop Top Market & Liquor on East 14th Street in San Leandro.

Lottery officials say a person bought a ticket here that matched five numbers in Wednesday night's draw, just missing the Powerball number.

"This one guy comes in my store. He marks number, he put it in the machine. So he got five number win. He played only one ticket," Pop Top Market & Liquor's Satnam Singh said.

Tickets sold in North Carolina, Puerto Rico and Texas matched all six numbers to split the Powerball jackpot, worth just more than $564 million.

That is the third largest prize in Powerball history.

One of the tickets was sold at the Appletree Food Mart in Princeton, Texas. Owner Chandra Siwakoti gets $1 million for selling a winning Powerball ticket at his store.

"I'm so excited. I'm so excited I'm so happy, you know," Siwakoti said.

As for the owner of Pop Top Market & Liquor in San Leandro, he will get $7,000 for selling the ticket.
