Flash Flood Watch issued for parts of North Bay ahead of storm

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It may be hard to believe our first moderate storm of the season is nearly 24 hours away.

Enjoy the sunshine and benefits dry weather brings because Wednesday will challenge your driving skills and patience. You may also want to take a last long look at the beautiful fall foliage in the Bay Area as the intensity of rain and speed of the winds will strip many trees of their leaves. This could lead to localized flooding due to clogged storm drains, with the greatest threat for flooding being in the North Bay where wildfires destroyed communities.

WATCH: AccuWeather Forecast

Trees weakened by our dry summer are likely to drop a few limbs causing minor power outages. The timing of the moderate rain with embedded downpours make Wednesday evening's commute our biggest issue with this storm. Please slow down and turn your wipers and lights on.
