Ivanka Trump calls father a 'messenger of the people' in ABC News interview
Ivanka Trump is preparing to formally introduce her father as the Republican nominee on Thursday night.

CLEVELAND (KGO) -- Ivanka Trump is preparing to formally introduce her father as the Republican nominee on Thursday night. The 34-year-old says she is terrified, excited and honored by the opportunity.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, Ivanka calls her father "a messenger of the people."

But she reveals she fears for his safety.

"We live in scary times. I worry about the safety of my father, but I worry about the safety of every American, including my children and myself and my family," she said.

Ivanka says she doesn't listen to negative ads against her father and calls them a "complete manipulation of his words."
