SAN BRUNO, Calif. (KGO) -- Police in San Bruno are keeping a close eye out for drunk drivers and educating teenagers at the same time.

ABC7 News was in one of the police cars for a special DUI saturation patrol ride-along Saturday night.

San Bruno police has a ride along program that allows students to sit shot-gun and see how officers spot impaired drivers and what happens on a DUI traffic stop.

The program is designed to stop teens from driving drunk. It also helps inspire those who hope to join the force one day.
