SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Plan for gridlock on the San Francisco side of the Bay Bridge for the next couple of weeks-- during the late night and early morning hours.

That's because Caltrans is replacing joint seals on the upper and lower decks of the bridge. Work will begin on the upper deck at nine Monday night, until 4:00 a.m. the Tuesday.
The overnight repair work will fluctuate between the upper and lower decks, depending on the day.
Caltrans says up to four of the five lanes could be closed for the work, which could lead to extensive delays.
Before you head out to your car, be sure to check out the ABC7 traffic maps for real-time information to help you navigate through traffic jams.
