Researchers say parrots join each other in laughter

NEW ZEALAND (KGO) -- Researchers call Parrots' laughter infectious. Scientists believe Kea Parrots in New Zealand have a play call, and they may be the first non-mammals to have their laugh recorded.

When other Kea Parrots hear that laugh, they drop everything and start playing.

Kea Parrots come with a reputation for humor, folks in New Zealand call their species the "clown of the mountain."
