Scientists say Mars once had massive ocean

Scientists now believe mars once had a massive ocean that covered nearly 20 percent of the planet.

The enormous Martian ocean was likely bigger than the Atlantic Ocean.

Scientists estimate 87 percent of the water has since been lost in space.

NASA researchers also found the planet was wetter for longer than they thought, but they don't know if it was long enough to support life.
