SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- What does Santa do the week before Christmas? In San Francisco, he teaches kids about science.

On Wednesday, Scuba Santa dove into the giant coral reef at the California Academy of Sciences.

The dive is very popular with the kids, who enjoy seeing Santa swimming with the fishes.

Santa also handed out gifts of knowledge about the importance of preserving coral reefs.

The best part might be the Santa picture afterwards, with the jolly old soul dripping wet from his underwater adventure.
