Small plane crashes in Kearny Mesa area of San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KGO) -- Officials said at least one person may have been injured in a small plane crash that occurred in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego Wednesday morning.

The small plane crashed in a construction site in the 4400 block of Ruffin Road, blocks away from Montgomery Field, according to officials.

A station near the area learned at least one person was on the plane, but that person's condition is unknown at this time.
