College football player stages epic midfield proposal

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- This weekend's best college football moment had nothing to do with runs, passes or tackles - although it still took place on the gridiron. The most memorable moment of the college football weekend goes to Alabama's Samford Bulldogs LB Deion Pierre for the epic post-game proposal he orchestrated for his girlfriend.

During Samford University's big 55-21 win over Virginia Military Institute, Pierre picked off a pass and helped his team win the game. For most guys, that would be enough, but not for Pierre. He decided to win the internet by putting a ring on it and he got his entire team to help.

Alex Matthews recorded the heartwarming proposal and posted the video on Twitter. It begins with Pierre's teammates, all holding roses, circling Pierre and his girlfriend on the middle of the field while singing and doing a choreographed dance to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud."

Pierre drops on one knee and asks his girlfriend,Jasmine Armani to marry him. She says, "yes" and the celebrations begin.

There have been a lot of public proposals in sports, but this one was perfectly executed and we couldn't be happier for the couple!
