Group in Alameda celebrates golden days of radio

ALAMEDA, Calif. (KGO) -- In Alameda, a group of nostalgic actors and technicians will bring history to life on Saturday. It's the kind of history you see best with your eyes closed and ears open.

Actors rehearsed Friday for Radio Day the Bay, a benefit for the California Historical Radio Society in Alameda Saturday. They're doing more than a live performance of "The Maltese Falcon" at Alameda's Kofman Auditorium. At the museum, they're showing off and auctioning of some of the equipment on which people used to listen to these shows -- antiques that still work. Watch the video above for Wayne Freedman's full report.
