SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KGO) -- The Onizuka affordable housing community in Sunnyvale, which is designed to provide housing for families and formerly homeless residents including veterans, broke ground on Wednesday.

Assemblyman Rich Gordon, D-San Mateo, Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese, and Sunnyvale Mayor Glenn Hendricks were among those who spoke at the event.
