Online magazine 'The Bold Italic' shutting down

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A popular online San Francisco magazine is shutting down.

"The Bold Italic" released a statement Tuesday morning thanking all of its readers.

The magazine's mission was to celebrate the "freewheeling spirit of living in San Francisco."

"The Bold Italic" did not say why it was shutting down, but made it clear it was a difficult decision.
