SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Five internationally-renowned teams, competing to design a new gateway to the Presidio, will reveal their design ideas Thursday night.

The goal is to transform 13 acres into a parkland that connects Crissy Field to the historic main post.

The park will be built over the covered roadway of Doyle Drive.

The ideas presented will initiate the imagination phase of the project, during which the public will be asked to provide feedback on the design.

To learn more about the project and the ideas being presented, people can stop by the Presidio's Observation Post on Lincoln Boulevard Thursday night at 7 p.m.
