Some people hit the slopes for 4th of July

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Some people spent their 4th of July skiing in shorts!

Squaw Valley and Mammoth were both open Thursday. Squaw will stay open through Sunday.

You'll be able to ski at Mammoth until August!

They've only stayed open that late into the year twice before.
