DANVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- Down to the final out, bases loaded, down one run - everything on the line. It's the scenario every kid envisions in the backyard.
The Danville Aces of District 57 found themselves in that exact situation with a trip to the Little League Intermediate World Series up for grabs, and they came through.
The Aces will be making their third consecutive trip to the Little League Intermediate World Series in Livermore, an amazing feat when considering the coaching staff has pulled this off with three completely different rosters.
The current edition of 13-year-olds from Danville will play host to four other regional teams and five international teams this weekend at Max Baer Park.
The series begins on Sunday afternoon, and the championship rounds will take place the following weekend and can be seen live on ESPN.
You can see the Danville Aces in the play at 6 p.m. Sunday.
