European soccer giants to face off at Levi's Stadium
Soccer giants Manchester United and FC Barcelona will hit the field at Levi's Stadium in the much anticipated 2015 Guinness International Champions Cup match.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Soccer fever is heating up in the Bay Area this weekend. Soccer giants Manchester United and FC Barcelona hit the field at Levi's Stadium at Saturday in the 2015 Guinness International Champions Cup match.

ABC7 News was in San Jose at Avaya Stadium as Manchester United got in a little practice Friday.

Friday night in San Francisco, excited soccer fans lined up outside a hotel hoping to snag a signature from the star athletes visiting the Bay Area. People from around the U.S. came in anticipation of this game.

In a news conference, Manchester United star Wayne Rooney said he thinks soccer is growing in the U.S. and will one day be as big here as it is in Europe.
