Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry (quad), Draymond Green (hip) miss loss to Pelicans

The Golden State Warriors did not have Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for Thursday night's 101-96 loss to the Pelicansin New Orleans due to injury.

Curry bruised his left quad while driving and colliding with Dallas forwardDorian Finney-Smith's knee in the third quarter Wednesday night.

Coach Steve Kerr said before Thursday's game that it made sense to keep Curry out because the star guard's injured quad was "pretty sore,'' and that keeping him off he court in New Orleans "not only gives him a chance to recover from the injury but gives him a needed break'' with the Warriors not slated to play again for three days.

Green, who has a sore left hip, has played in two games since being cleared from health and safety protocols on Sunday. Green dealt with a tight right hip last month.Juan Toscano-Anderson (ankle) is also out against the Pelicans.

Curry had said he was hopeful that the quad injury will not linger and keep him out of multiple games.

"The body feeds off the mind," Curry said. "So I hope not."
