NFL sets date for opening night for Super Bowl 50

There were several big announcements from the NFL regarding media day for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara.

First, the event will be held on Feb. 1 at the SAP Center in San Jose, which was expected.

Now the big news, it will no longer be called "media day," but "opening night," and will be moved to 5 p.m., so it can be broadcast nationwide in prime time, at least on the East Coast.

Not only that, but fans can pay $30 to sit in the stands and watch media members swarm the players and coaches.
