OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Play ball! It's Opening Day for both the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants.

Sonny Gray was set to start for the A's against the White Sox tonight at Oakland Coliseum for the third straight year. He would have become the only pitcher in the team's history to do so. However, early Monday afternoon we learned that he was scratched from the lineup due to food poisoning. Rich Hill will now start for the A's.

Parking gates open at noon, the stadium gates at 5:05 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

The Giants are opening the season in Milwaukee against the Brewers. Madison Bumgarner will make his third consecutive opening day start. First pitch at Miller Park was at 11:10 a.m. PT

The Giants play their home opener on Thursday afternoon against the Dodgers.
