The Portland Timbers will host the San Jose Earthquakes as MLS teams enter the U.S. Open Cup in the fourth round.

The Timbers-Earthquakes matchup is the only one involving two MLS teams.

Most MLS clubs were matched up with lower-division teams from their regions, though many matchups are yet to be fully set before their opponents conclude the third round on June 1.

Among the possible matchups are New York City FC hosting the NASL's New York Cosmos, as well as FC Dallas playing at Rayo OKC.

Soon-to-be MLS franchise Minnesota United could play host to Sporting Kansas City, while the Seattle Sounders could face the Sacramento Republic, which is under strong consideration to join the top flight.

The LA Galaxy were drawn against the winner of two local amateur clubs from the United States Adult Soccer Association -- the L.A. Wolves and La Moquina.
