STANFORD, Calif. -- The Stanford Cardinal (8-2) host the California Bears (6-4) on Saturday at Stanford Stadium.

Cal is coming off a 54-24 win against Oregon State. The victory granted the Golden Bears their first bowl bid since 2011.

Last week, Stanford fell 38-36 to Oregon at home. Running back Christian McCaffrey set a school record with his eighth-straight 100-yard rushing performance, as he ran for 147 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Tonight, the Golden Bears will try to take back the Axe for the first time since 2009. Last year, the Cardinal beat Cal 38-17 for its fifth straight Big Game victory. Stanford is ranked 11th and favored. But Cal hopes for an upset, coming off last week's huge victory.

The Big Game is played today at Stanford. If you don't have a ticket, you can watch it on our sister network ESPN -- kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
