Golden State Warriors opening night game to be broadcast in virtual reality

NBA officials announced Tuesday that they will broadcast the Golden State Warriors opening night game in high definition virtual reality.

It will be the first time ever that a live professional sporting event is being broadcast in virtual reality.

It's being made possible by NextVR, a company that captures and delivers live and on-demand virtual reality experiences.

A special viewing area will be available at Oracle Arena Tuesday night.

Fans wearing an Oculus head set can watch a live stream of the game.
