Early morning stabbing in San Jose leaves one man dead

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Police have said they're investigating a stabbing in San Jose that left one man dead early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the first block of N. King Road at 5:09 a.m. and found a man suffering from at least one stab wound.

He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead shortly after, according to police.

Investigators said the motive and circumstances of today's fatal stabbing are currently unknown.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to police.
