Man allegedly beaten by Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies appears in court
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The man arrested during an FBI raid Friday night appeared in federal court Monday. Stanislav Petrov is suing Alameda County following a November alleged excessive use of force incident. Three Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies are on administrative leave in connection with the incident. The FBI has said Friday's raid was unrelated, but Petrov's mother feels differently.
Stanislav Petrov's mother says her son is suffering with PTSD following the November incident. It's unclear what charges the FBI arrested Petrov on Friday. The arrest and search warrants remain sealed. The courtroom was cleared Monday afternoon before Petrov went in front of the judge.

The image of federal agents arresting Petrov at a home on Teddy Avenue Friday night is the last one the public has seen.
The federal arrest and search warrants from the joint FBI and SFPD raid remain sealed.
Agents also arrested an unnamed woman. It was the second recent raid at the home.
ABC7 News obtained video of a March 8 FBI raid. FBI sources say Petrov was not on their radar at the time, but when agents entered the home he was inside.
SFPD arrested Petrov March 8 in connection with controlled substances and a firearm but he was never charged.
In an exclusive interview with ABC7 News last week, Petrov said it wasn't him. "I don't know what you're talking about ma'am," he said.
Less than 24 hours before Friday night's raid, someone shot a man outside the Teddy Avenue home. FBI sources say in addition to whatever is in the sealed Petrov arrest warrant, investigators are still exploring what if any connection Petrov has to that shooting.
His mother says he's suffering with PTSD following this November incident with Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies in which he hit with a baton more than 40 times. Off camera she said she believes law enforcement is shaping public opinion to make him a monster.
According to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office criminal report, Petrov has a long criminal history dating back to 2003 with at least four felony convictions from 2006 through 2014.
Sources say his criminal history is one reason investigators have sealed the case for now.
