SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- If you think your Internet seems slow these days, it's not just your imagination.

According to web-tracking software HTT Archive, the average time it takes a website to load is increasing.

In fact, it takes nearly twice as long as it did three years ago.

Experts say websites are more complex these days, with videos, pictures and embedded tracking tools. All those things require your computer to load additional data, which takes longer.
