Start-ups seek to impress Silicon valley at TechCrunch Disrupt

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco is hosting TechCrunch Disrupt, where entrepreneurs take the wraps off their high tech startups, and compete for attention from investors who can help them grow.

And, while ultimately many startups will fail, and some will be acquired by bigger companies, for the few that grow into large companies themselves, one successful entrepreneur pushed a message of social good.
