Eastbound lanes reopen on I-580 near Altamont Pass after accident

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- All eastbound lanes near Altamont Pass have reopened after an accident on Friday led to their closure, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on I-580 near North Vasco Road when a motorcycle crashed into the back of a Porsche, CHP said. CHP shut down the freeway so a helicopter could land to airlift the motorcycle driver.
