SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- BART service is recovering after a train got stuck in the Transbay Tube late Wednesday afternoon.

A photo from inside the train shows the darkness passengers experienced, except for the light from one person's phone that lit up his face.

According to BART, a brake malfunctioned on the train, briefly stopping it inside the tube. The delay was first announced at 3:41 p.m.

Video from the Embarcadero station shows the crowds of people waiting to get on trains.

An engineer was reportedly able to help get that train moving, but BART is seeing major delays systemwide.
