SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- San Jose police are working to reopen the ramp on the southbound I-680 connector at Highway 101 after shutting it down due to police activity.

The southbound 680 connector to the freeway was closed because a man is sitting on the overpass.

The California Highway Patrol says he was perched up there since just before 1 p.m. but willingly came down a short time ago.

Emergency personnel are on the scene and they are talking to the man.
