Samtrans seeks public input on proposal to raise fares

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Samtrans wants to hear from the public before leaders decide whether to raise fares.

They're looking to raise the current fare from $2 to $2.25 starting in January. The monthly pass would also go up, by $1.50 to $3.75. If Samtrans goes ahead with the proposal, these increases would be the first since 2010.
