Stockton Street to reopen in SF after 7-year closure
The street was blocked for seven years during the construction of the Central Subway project.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Stockton Street in San Francisco will be back open to traffic starting at 8 a.m. Friday after a seven-year closure.

The street was blocked during the construction of the Central Subway project.

The Muni tunnel and underground station from Ellis to Geary streets at Union Square triggered detours, which hurt local retailers.
