A delayed Delta flight was turned into a pizza party after the pilot ordered pizza for all passengers aboard the plane.

On Tuesday, heavy rains at Hartsfield-Jackson airport caused a 2 p.m. Atlanta-bound Delta flight to be diverted from Philadelphia to Knoxville, Tenn. While the plane sat on the runway, a Delta baggage cart delivered pizza, cheering up the passengers aboard.

The flight eventually landed in Atlanta at 7 p.m., three hours late, according to CNN. Other passengers onboard delayed Delta planes reported similar free food feasts.

"It's part of an effort company-wide when weather disrupts our operation to get food and beverages to delayed customers," Delta spokesperson Morgan Durrant told CNN.
