Woman outraged after JetBlue tells her to change shorts in order to fly

A burlesque dancer from Seattle says JetBlue stripped away her dignity when they told her to change her clothes if she wanted to fly.

Entertainer Maggie McMuffin, her stage name, boarded a flight wearing shorts.

The pilots said, no way, which is their right according to the airline. They told her to wear something else or get off the jet.

McMuffin blasted the policy saying it's entirely subjective. "I'd say body shaming and slut shaming more than outright sexism, but it is really hard to remove those two things from misogyny," McMuffin said.

The entertainer ran back into the terminal and bought a pair of shorts so she could still take that flight, but says she feels disrespected and outraged.

She thinks JetBlue should offer sensitivity training to its pilots, or be more clear with their expectations of customers.
