BRENTWOOD, Calif. -- Two people were injured, including one person who was airlifted to the hospital, in an assault during a home invasion in Brentwood early Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
Medical crews responded just after 4 a.m. to a home in the 1600 block of Dill Court, according to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
Fire officials said two people were injured in an assault by a suspect or suspects who broke into their home.
One patient was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center with traumatic injuries and a second person was transported by ambulance to a hospital, fire officials said.
Brentwood police are investigating the incident, according to fire officials. Calls to Brentwood police were not immediately returned.
