USGS reports magnitude-3.0 earthquake strikes near San Jose
USGS is reporting that a magnitude-3.0 earthquake hit 13 miles east of San Jose.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- USGS is reporting that a magnitude-3.0 earthquake hit 13 miles east of San Jose.

The quake struck at 5:14 p.m.

On this anniversary comes a worrisome warning. Researchers say if a major earthquake hit today, perhaps in Oakland, it would be far more dangerous.
