AccuWeather Forecast: Sunny skies, wide range of temps

Fog has expanded this morning, bringing reduced visibilities at the coastline. The marine layer sits between 1,200 and 1,400 feet. However, sunny skies and a wide range of temperatures will continue as we start off the weekend.

Fog will be burning back to the beaches with locally breezy winds and cool temperatures while hot weather returns to the inland valleys as high pressure dominates the weather pattern.

Sunday, the high moves a bit allowing monsoonal moisture to visit once again the mountains and potentially the bay with dry lightning Monday and Tuesday.

This circulation will bring in more clouds for Sunday with slightly muggy conditions. Upper level smoke could also increase early next week compliments of a wind shift.

The long-term outlook features more typical Bay Area summertime weather with coastal fog and a 35-degree temperature spread from the shoreline to the inland valleys
