Your weather forecast this Thanksgiving holiday will be different depending on where you're planning to celebrate it.

If you're traveling to visit loved ones, you won't be alone. AAA anticipates that 46.9 million Americans will journey at least 50 miles from home for the holiday.

The forecast is a mixed bag, with winter weather in the center of the country, chilly temperatures to the west and mild temps to the east. Here's a closer look from meteorologists around the nation:

New York City

New York City's Thanksgiving forecast
WABC

Expect a beautiful Thanksgiving Day! New York will see sunny skies and mild temperatures with low humidity and a very light southeast wind. It will be about 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year. The high will come close to 60 degrees.

Los Angeles

KABC

Thanksgiving looks cool and partly cloudy for much of Southern California, including Los Angeles and Orange County. But it will be windy and cold in the desert and at the beaches. Expect cold in the mountains with snow possible at higher elevations earlier in the day.

Chicago

Chicago's Thanksgiving forecast
WLS

It's going to be a wet, gloomy Thanksgiving Day in Chicago. Expect drizzle for most of the day and more rain in the evening and overnight. No major storms are expected. Highs will be in the 50s on Thursday. Temperatures cool to the 40s over the weekend as sunshine returns.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia's Thanksgiving forecast
WPVI

With high pressure anchored off of New England, expect a dry Thanksgiving in the Philadelphia region with a mix of sun and clouds. Many years winds are a problem for balloons during the parade, but this year that won't be the case. Morning winds out of the east-northeast will swing around to the south during the afternoon at just 3-6 mph. The normal high for this date is 52 and we are forecasting an afternoon high of 63 -- relatively mild by comparison!

A steady temperature pattern with the exceptionally dry air will bring the San Francisco Bay Area total sunshine on Thanksgiving Day.

Houston

KTRK

Turkey won't be the only warm thing on Thanksgiving in Houston. Temperatures will push into the upper 70s by afternoon. Gusty southeast winds will bring higher humidity and scattered showers.

Raleigh/Durham

Raleigh's Thanksgiving forecast
WTVD

If you are traveling this Thanksgiving to the Raleigh area, you should be just fine weather wise. Hop in the car and drive 300+ miles in any direction, and you'll only see sunshine. With sun and clouds mixing on Thanksgiving Day, temperatures will climb into the middle 60s, then approach the 70-degree mark on Friday.

Fresno

Fresno's Thanksgiving forecast
KFSN

Temperatures will be cool for the holiday weekend in Fresno with highs in the mid 50s and low in the 30s, possibly 20s. Skies look mostly sunny on Thanksgiving Thursday with more clouds on Friday and a chance for isolated showers over the weekend. Scattered snow showers will linger over the Sierra Friday afternoon through Sunday.
