LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KGO) -- The storm means a lot of snow-lovers are waking up with smiles on their faces.

The problem could be getting there. Roads are open on Interstate 80 going to Tahoe, but it could be slow going.

Between five and nine inches are expected to fall in the Sierra.

Ski resorts will try to open Friday after being closed Thursday due to dangerous conditions.
