NEW YORK (KGO) -- Our winter here in the Bay Area and across California has been a little wet because of El Nino, but it's nothing compared to what's going on in New York.

The low in Buffalo Tuesday morning was 17 degrees, while wind gusts up to 47 miles per hour produced huge waves.
The wind chill was below zero.
